THE AWARDS:
The Maroon Award is given to a faculty, staff, or administrator, as nominated by undergraduate or graduate students. All full-time and part-time employees are eligible.
The Gold Award is a similar award with nominations coming from peers (faculty, staff, or administrators) at Gannon. All full-time and part-time employees are eligible.
CRITERA: Winners will be selected based on the following criteria:
A. Going beyond their job description or usual schedule to make the Gannon community a positive and enjoyable place for students;
B. Taking time to meet with students outside of the nominee’s usual schedule;
C. Volunteering or attending student activities taking place on campus;
D. Being approachable;
E. Being committed to Gannon;
F. Having an overall positive presence on campus.
Nominations will be reviewed and a winner will be chosen by a subcommittee of the Retention Committee. Members of this subcommittee will not be eligible for either award. The number of nominations a person receives and the quality of reasons cited will be the important factors in the selection.

Nominations are due no later than April 11, 2008
Nominations should be returned to Jerry Miele, Director of New Student Services, S 1st Floor
